PA56 Chip

PA56 Chip

PA56 Chip

PA56 chips are long-chain polyamide materials formed by the polycondensation of bio-based pentamethylenediamine and adipic acid. They combine the excellent mechanical performance of conventional nylon with distinctive bio-based comfort characteristics for textile and advanced material applications.

PA56 Chip

Product Features

Outstanding Comfort With a standard moisture regain above 5%, it offers excellent moisture absorption, sweat wicking and a soft skin-friendly hand feel.
High Strength and Wear Resistance Its strength is close to PA66 and higher than polyester, with excellent wear resistance and elastic recovery.
Low-temperature Dyeing High dye uptake enables low-temperature dyeing, reducing energy use while delivering vivid colors and high color fastness.
Inherent Flame Retardancy Its relatively high limiting oxygen index provides inherent flame-retardant properties.

Processing Recommendations

1

Material pre-treatment: The product is supplied in moisture-proof packaging and should be used promptly after opening. Dehumidifying and drying opened material before use is required for stable injection molding and product quality. Drying temperature ≤110°C and time ≤5 hours.

2

Barrel temperature: Set the optimal injection-molding temperature between 270°C and 295°C. Avoid over-temperature processing to prevent thermal degradation of the bio-based polyamide resin.

3

Mold temperature: Maintain the mold temperature between 60°C and 90°C, preferably toward the higher end. A low mold temperature can reduce resin flow and cause surface defects, high shrinkage or brittle fracture.
